diamondHelpful Decorating Hints

Well organized book shelves

When accessorizing bookshelves, remember to organize books by shape, color and type.  Vary vertical and horizontal placement and leave “white space” for accessory items such as decorative boxes, family photos or small paintings. Your shelves will add to your decor and avoid the tendency to appear cluttered.

The Life of a Project

Here's a step-by-step on what you can expect when working with Orsini Interiors. Projects vary by client, so these steps will adjust accordingly.

  • 1

Initial Consultation: We work with you to put together your client profile, which includes project priorities, room function analysis, color, texture, style and pattern preferences, existing furnishings inventory (what stays and what goes), lighting needs and budget.

  • 2

Space Analysis: We will measure, sketch and photograph your space to aid in room layout, renderings and item selection.

  • 3

Concept: We develop a design that includes color palette, fabric and finish selections, design style focus and project approach.

  • 4

Space Planning: We explore furniture arrangement for best flow and function.

  • 5

Sourcing, Shopping and Selection of furnishings, accents and lighting.

  • 6

Floor Plans, Elevations and Design Renderings for walls, windows and furniture layout, as needed. (see figure 1.1)

  • 7

Written Design Plan: We provide you with a written plan that includes design rationale, an item list, descriptions, photos, fabric and finish samples.

  • 8

Design Presentation to Client: We provide a written and visual layout of the design.

  • 9

Design Plan Revisions and Estimate Creation: Changes are implemented and costs are laid out.

  • 10

Ordering and Expediting of Approved Items: We place the orders and track the deliveries of all furniture and finishings.

  • 11

Project Management: We coordinate the project from start to finish — overseeing vendors, suppliers and contractors, reviewing progress of construction and assembling the finished room.

  • 12

Client Evaluation and Sign-Off: We walk through the space together to ensure the final result is just how you envisioned.
